Plastic Free Mountains

Plastic-Free Mountain is dedicated to preserving the natural beauty of our mountains by reducing plastic waste. Every piece of trash removed and every dustbin installed brings us closer to cleaner, healthier, and sustainable trekking paths.

Why This Mission?

Mountains are not just beautiful landscapes—they are fragile ecosystems. Plastic waste left by trekkers and tourists harms wildlife, pollutes water sources, and ruins the natural beauty. Plastic-Free Mountain exists to create awareness, remove existing waste, and prevent future pollution so that mountains remain pristine for generations to come.

What We Do?

At Plastic-Free Mountain, we take action through:

  1. Cleaning Drives – Organizing annual and seasonal drives to remove plastic and other waste from trekking routes and high-altitude areas.

  2. Installing Dustbins – Placing poly/woolen bags or eco-friendly bins at key points along trekking trails.

  3. Awareness Campaigns – Educating trekkers, students, and local communities about reducing plastic usage.

  4. Volunteer Engagement – Encouraging community participation to adopt clean trekking practices.

  5. Collaboration with Local Authorities – Partnering with tourism boards and local bodies to maintain waste-free trekking paths.
